“Assessment year” refers to the year for which assessment data were collected. All those with assessment years before 2017 were called National Air Toxics Assessment (NATA); from 2017 on, the assessments have been called Air Toxics Screening Assessment (AirToxScreen).
“Release date” is when results were posted to EPA’s website.
“HAPs included” shows how many of the Clean Air Act’s list of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) were included in each assessment. Each assessment also includes one additional air toxic, diesel particulate matter, which was assessed for noncancer results only.
