About the Deputy Assistant Administrator of EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance
Stacey Geis
Stacey Geis serves as the Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. Stacey joined OECA as a Senior Advisor in January 2023, and brings more than 25 years of criminal and civil enforcement experience in federal and state government, the NGO community, and in private practice. Prior to joining EPA, Stacey was the Vice President of Litigation at Earthjustice and an adjunct professor at the University of California Hastings College of Law. She spent 15 years focused on environmental enforcement both as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California and a circuit prosecutor for the State of California. She began her law career at a large law firm after clerking for a federal judge in San Francisco. Stacey is a graduate of Brown University and the University of Virginia School of Law.
