OID Groups
Community and Tribal Programs Group (CTPG)The Community and Tribal Programs Group (CTPG) facilitates meaningful outreach and engagement and builds capacity with Tribal Nations, communities, small businesses, and other interested parties. CTPG work with the Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights to address the needs of communities with environmental justice concerns. CTPG also identifies communities, small businesses, and Tribal Nations impacted by potential Clean Air Act standards and regulations. |
Innovative Programs and Outreach Group (IPOG)The Innovative Programs and Outreach Group (IPOG) works with state, local and Tribal air agencies, and industry, to develop training and related resources for the AirKnowledge and Burn Wise programs. The AirKnowledge platform offers on-demand self-instructional training on Clean Air Act programs and works with multi-jurisdictional organizations to offer instructor-led classes on air quality management. The Burn Wise program develops educational and technical information on how to burn the right wood, the right way, and in the right appliance. |
Information Transfer Group (ITG)The Information Transfer Group (ITG) serves as a bridge between OAQPS programs and information technology. ITG puts OAQPS information and programs in the hands of the public and policymakers by maintaining much of OAQPS’ web content, hosting ambient air quality data, constructing, and maintaining public systems like Air Now and Air Quality System (AQS), and providing technology expertise. |
National Air Data Group (NADG)The National Air Data Group (NADG) designs, operates, and maintains large-scale emissions data information systems that are used to develop and implement EPA’s national air programs. The group assesses current information system technologies and works with other OAQPS program groups to define and develop new program information management tools and strategies to continually improve information management systems to meet customer and user needs. NADG manages the Emissions Inventory System (EIS), which is one of the Agency’s mission-essential functions. |
