Someone once said, A I would rather have one man or woman working with me than three merely working for me." That = s so very true. I think of each of you as a colleague B someone I have the pleasure of working with , a part of the team that helps the EPA meet its mission of protecting the environment and safeguarding public health. The work you do B with true dedication and professionalism B makes it possible for me and the rest of us A non-career-types @ to do our jobs. I know I speak for all of us in OA when I say that B we couldn = t do what we do without you.

Administrators and their staffs come and go, but you are the ones who maintain the continuity, and make sure that when the new folks come around, they can hit the ground running and that they can keep up with the hectic day-to-day pace of this office. I hate to think what would happen around here if we didn = t have you to answer the phones, deliver the mail, juggle the calendars, make the computers work, and keep track of who = s coming and going. It would be a mess.

So thank you B thank you very much for all that you do. I depend on you, I appreciate you, and I = m glad to have the chance to work with you. Thank you and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.
