December 11, 2017 – Public Meeting on Approaches for Identifying Potential Candidates for Prioritization for Risk Evaluation Under Amended TSCA
On December 11, 2017, EPA held a public meeting to discuss possible approaches for identifying potential candidate chemicals for EPA’s prioritization process under TSCA. EPA described and took comment on a number of possible approaches that could guide the Agency in identification of potential candidate chemicals for prioritization. Written comments must be submitted to the docket on or before January 25, 2018.
December 6, 2017 – Public Meeting on Progress Implementing the New Chemicals Review Program Under Amended TSCA
On December 6, 2017, EPA held a public meeting to update and engage with the public on the Agency’s progress in implementing changes to the New Chemicals Review Program as a result of the 2016 amendments to TSCA, including discussion of EPA’s New Chemicals Decision-Making Framework. Written comments must be submitted to the docket on or before January 20, 2018.
May 24, 2017 - Public Meeting on Unique Identifiers for Confidential Chemical Identities
On May 24, 2017, EPA held a public meeting to discuss approaches and obtain feedback on assigning and applying unique identifiers when a confidential business information (CBI) claim for chemical identity is approved. EPA made a brief presentation concerning the unique identifier requirement and the issues with implementing this requirement, then registered meeting participants were provided an opportunity to comment. Following the comment portion of the meeting, there was a roundtable discussion.

March 2017 – Webinar on Changes to CDX application to support TSCA requirements for substantiation of CBI
In March 2017, EPA conducted two webinars covering the use of CDX for upfront CBI substantiation. These webinars covered technical aspects of making substantiations within the CDX reporting applications at the time information is first claimed as CBI.
The webinar provided below has three general sections:
- An introduction explaining the new substantiation requirements and the effective dates for these requirements. This section can be found at the start of the recording through the 6 minute 50 second mark.
- A demonstration of the TSCA CDX application changes and how to submit upfront substantiation using the optional substantiation templates. This section starts at the 6 minute 50 second mark and extends through the 21 minute 40 second mark.
- A question and answer session, where technical questions related to the process of submitting upfront substantiation were addressed. This section starts at the 21 minute 40 second mark and extends through the end of the recording.

February 14, 2017 – Public Meeting on Risk Evaluation Scoping Efforts under TSCA for 10 Chemical Substances
EPA held a public meeting to receive input and information to assist the Agency in its efforts to establish the scope of risk evaluations under development for the 10 chemical substances designated on December 19, 2016, for risk evaluations pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), as amended. The meeting provided the public an opportunity to identify information specifically related to the conditions of use for the ten chemical substances (i.e., the circumstances under which a chemical substance is intended, known, or reasonably foreseen to be manufactured, processed, distributed in commerce, used, or disposed of). December 14, 2016 Implementing the New Chemicals Review Program under Amended TSCA
EPA held a meeting to update the public on changes to the New Chemicals Review Program under TSCA, as amended. EPA described its review process for new chemicals under the amended statute, as well as discussed issues, challenges, and opportunities that the Agency has identified in the first few months of implementation.
Docket number to submit written comments: EPA-HQ-OPPT-2016-0658. The docket will remain open until January 17, 2017.

EPA held two public meetings to obtain input on the development of procedural regulations required under TSCA on Agency processes for risk evaluation and chemical prioritization for risk evaluation. EPA also held a separate consultation meeting with potential fee payers.

August 11-12, 2016 Public Meeting - Industry Consultation Meeting on Fees
EPA held this meeting to consult with manufacturers and processors potentially subject to the fees, and their representatives, to inform the development of a proposed rule on the establishment of potential fees under TSCA.

EPA held this meeting to gather input that will inform a proposed rule to establish a risk-based process for chemical prioritization.

EPA held this meeting to gather input that will inform a proposed rule on its process for conducting risk evaluations to determine whether a chemical presents an unreasonable risk of injury to health or the environment under TSCA section 6(b).
