Public Hearings on the Proposal: Enhancing Public Access to Information and Reconsideration of Beneficial Use Criteria and Piles
EPA held an in-person public hearing on October 2 , 2019 and at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, Virginia. This public hearing consisted of morning, afternoon and evening sessions.
Oral testimony was limited to five (5) minutes for each person. The public hearing provided interested persons the opportunity to present information, comments or views concerning EPA's proposal. Speakers were asked not present or submit at the hearing any information you consider to be confidential business information or other information whose disclosure is restricted by statute.
Virtual Public Hearing
EPA held a virtual or online public hearing on October 10, 2019 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm ET. The format of the virtual public hearing was similar to the in-person hearing and consisted of three sessions:
- A morning session starting at 9:00 am and ending at noon.
- An early afternoon session starting at 1:00 pm and ending at 4:00 pm.
- A late afternoon session beginning at 5:00 pm and ending at 8:00 pm.
The virtual public hearing provided interested persons the opportunity to present information, comments or views concerning EPA's proposal. Oral testimony was limited to five (5) minutes for each person. Speakers were asked not present or submit at the hearing any information you consider to be confidential business information or other information whose disclosure is restricted by statute. EPA accepted written public comments through Regulations.gov.
