Tools and Resources for Climate Resilience Planning Utilizing a One Water Approach
A Six-Part Webinar Series Hosted by: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Supported by the US Water Alliance
As climate changes, it is becoming increasingly clear that water utilities need to assess their risks and build resilience to future drought, floods and stormwater challenges. Communities benefit from adaptation planning at utilities that account for shared values and employs integrated management, consistent with a One Water approach. In this series of interactive webinars that took place from May through August 2022, water utility practitioners and their consultants learn how EPA and NOAA climate data and tools can support climate resilience planning and develop strategies to build water system resilience.
For each topic below, EPA hosted two sessions. During the first, participants review available science, view demonstrations of data tools, and participate in a collaborative discussion for applying the One Water approach. During the second, participants learn about One Water principles and explore key considerations for implementing One Water approaches through case studies.
