Research and Information Collection Partnership Meeting Summary
The Total Coliform Rule/Distribution System Advisory Committee (TCRDSAC) was responsible for defining what information about distribution systems is needed to better understand and address possible public health impacts from potential degradation of drinking water quality.
National Academy of Sciences Committee on Public Water Supply Distribution Systems: Assessing and Reducing Risks - At EPA’s request, the National Academy of Sciences convened a committee. The committee studied water quality issues associated with public water supply distribution systems. The Academy released two reports in 2005 and 2006. The Advisory Committee recommended formation of a Research and Information Collection Partnership (RICP). The responsibilities of the RICP are found in Section 4.0 of the TCRDSAC Agreement in Principle.
