Visiting the Library
Please call the Library Reference Desk at (415) 947-4406 or email [email protected] to make an appointment to visit the Library. This will ensure that a librarian will be available on-site.
Visitors must register at the guard desk in the lobby on day of appointment with the EIC/Library. Hawthorne Street is parallel to, and in between, 2nd and 3rd Streets, and between Howard and Folsom Streets. It is conveniently located three blocks from the Montgomery Street BART and MUNI Station (see visitor information for more specific directions).
Borrowing Policy and Interlibrary Loans
Borrowing privileges are generally limited to EPA staff, other libraries, and local businesses / organizations with established borrowing arrangements.

Information For Other Libraries: We freely share materials with other libraries via the OCLC Interlibrary Loan system. Our OCLC symbol is ERA and we are members of FEDL (Federal Libraries and Information Centers) and LVIS (Libraries Very Interested in Sharing).
