2010 Final revisions to the General Conformity Regulations
The EPA revised the 1993-1994 General Conformity regulations by publishing the revised final rule on April 5, 2010. The revised regulations improve and clarify the program requirements federal agencies must follow to assure stakeholders that their actions will not interfere with a State's or Tribe's ability to meet and maintain the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) in a timely manner within nonattainment and maintenance areas under their jurisdiction and authority.
