Lake Michigan Mass Balance Results and Publications
The Lake Michigan Mass Balance Study measured and modeled the concentrations of representative pollutants within important compartments of the Lake Michigan ecosystem. Objectives of the study were to:
- Estimate pollutant loading rates,
- Establish a baseline to gauge future progress
- Predict the benefits associated with load reductions, and
- Further understand ecosystem dynamics.
