National Clean Investment Fund and Clean Communities Investment Accelerator Review and Selection Process Update
As of December 15, 2023, EPA has completed the review panel and initial evaluation stage for all eligible applications as part of the review and selection process for the National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF) and Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) competitions, in line with Section V.B: Review and Selection Process of the respective Notices of Funding Opportunity. All applications have been reviewed and scored in accordance with EPA’s Policy for Competition of Assistance Agreements as well as the criteria and process disclosed in Section V: Application Review Information of the respective Notices of Funding Opportunity. At this time, a subset of applications has been designated as top-ranked and will proceed to the next step in the process.
EPA has notified representatives of all applications of the current status of their applications. Because the competition is ongoing, EPA does not intend to release additional information about the applicants or applications until selections are made. Not all applications that have been designated as top-ranked will ultimately be selected for awards. Applications that have not been designated as top-ranked will not be selected for awards.
EPA continues to move forward with the Solar for All competition in parallel, in line with Section V: Application Review Information of the Solar for All Notice of Funding Opportunity. As previously stated, EPA still anticipates making notifications of selections for the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund competitions by March 2024.
