EPA Community Meeting – Next Steps for EPA’s Lead Guidance and Community Involvement
Join EPA and partners for a community meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, in Carthage, Missouri.
The event will include a site update, information about EPA’s updated lead guidance policy, and an opportunity to provide feedback on community involvement to EPA’s contractor, Skeo.
EPA and Skeo interviewed residents and stakeholders to better understand how EPA can include the community in the Superfund process through the Community Involvement Plan (CIP) and Technical Assistance Needs Assessment (TANA). EPA and Skeo will present the findings of the TANA, along with recommendations for technical assistance.
The Jasper County Health Department (JCHD) will provide FREE blood lead testing at the event from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

- Voice your concerns about the site and/or cleanup to EPA staff.
