GULFPORT, Miss. (May 12, 2022) — U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Deputy Administrator Janet McCabe will be in Gulfport, Mississippi on Monday, May 16, to announce $53 million in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding for the Gulf of Mexico. This investment will support wetland restoration, stormwater treatment and control, nature-based infrastructure, resilient shorelines and other initiatives critical to creating a healthy and vibrate Gulf of Mexico. These project types are pivotal in advancing water quality improvements, community resilience, habitat restoration and environmental education.
