Public Notice: Opportunity to Comment on Notice of Discharge Requirements for L&H Industrial in Wyoming
Summary
The purpose of this notice is to state the EPA’s intention to issue a Notice of Discharge Requirements implementing the Categorical Pretreatment Standards found in 40 CFR Part 433 of the Metal Finishing Point Source Category and the Pretreatment Standards found in 40 CFR Part 403 of the General Pretreatment Regulations.
Activity
L&H Industrial is a facility that conducts core unit operations (chrome plating) and various ancillary unit operations that generate wastewaters subject to the Metal Finishing Categorical Pretreatment Standards found in 40 CFR 433. The facility manages these regulated wastewaters by evaporation and hauling offsite and only discharges domestic wastewater to the City of Sheridan’s Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW). The zero-discharge control mechanism specifically prohibits L&H Industrial from discharging non-domestic wastewater to the City of Sheridan’s POTW and requires the facility to report on its zero-discharge status.
