For Release: September 21, 2017
The Agency will soon publish a Federal Register Notice announcing the virtual FIFRA SAP meeting on the charge questions on PBPK at www.regulations.gov.
This meeting is open to the public. Requests to make oral comments should be submitted during registration on or before noon September 27, 2017. Written comments on the scope and clarity of the draft charge questions should also be submitted to the docket (EPA-HQ-OPP-2017-0180) by noon on September 27, 2017. All materials discussed during this virtual meeting along with the agenda will be posted at https://www.epa.gov/sap.
The goal of the 3-hour virtual meeting of the FIFRA SAP will be to discuss the charge questions, hear from the panel and the public on the charge questions, and then determine if any edits are needed to the charge in advance of the meeting. Subsequent to this meeting, final charge questions will be provided for the FIFRA SAP’s deliberation on the white papers and supplemental information during the in-person meeting that will be held on October 24-27, 2017.
This virtual meeting will be held on October 2, 2017, from approximately 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. via Adobe Connect.
The FIFRA SAP serves as the primary scientific peer review mechanism of EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP) and is structured to provide scientific advice, information, and recommendations to the EPA Administrator on pesticides and pesticide-related issues as to the impact of regulatory actions on health and the environment.
