Public Notice: Proposed Settlement with Alaska Marine Trucking for Clean Water Act Violations in Alaska
Summary
EPA is providing notice of a proposed administrative penalty settlement with Alaska Marine Trucking, LLC (respondent) for violations of the Clean Water Act at its facility located in Ketchikan, Alaska.
EPA alleges that the respondent’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan site map failed to include stormwater monitoring locations and labeled berms (conveyances). Additionally, the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation records show that the respondent failed to timely submit its annual reports for 2020, 2021 and 2022.
This action is being simultaneously commenced and concluded in a legal document called an Expedited Settlement Agreement. Under the proposed agreement (see "Related Documents"), the respondent will pay a civil penalty of $1,758.
