Electronic Submission Portal Resources; PIPs Rule Sample Documents

Below are sample submission documents related to a Request for EPA confirmation of exemption eligibility for PIPs under the 2023 rulemaking. EPA has provided sample administrative documents: sample 8570-1 form, sample cover letter, and sample fee waiver request. EPA has also provided a document containing two samples of documentation submissions under 40 CFR 174.26 for “PIPs created through genetic engineering from a sexually compatible plants” along with an empty word document version which can be used as a template. Use of the template is optional, but recommended.
