Tire Crumb Exposure Characterization Report Webinar Archive
This webinar, co-presented by EPA and ATSDR and recorded on April 17, 2024, highlighted the Tire Crumb Exposure Characterization report. In February 2016, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (CDC/ATSDR) and the U.S. EPA, in collaboration with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), launched a multi-agency research effort to address public concerns about exposures of athletes to tire crumb. The effort is known as the Federal Research Action Plan on Recycled Tire Crumb Used on Playing Fields and Playgrounds (FRAP). The Tire Crumb Exposure Characterization (Part 2) completes the EPA/ATSDR work with respect to playing fields.
