Using funds provided through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, EPA will clean up the groundwater contaminated with volatile organic compounds, specifically trichloroethylene (TCE) and tetrachloroethene (PCE), by installing monitoring wells to carefully monitor the natural break down of the contamination that is already occuring, a process called monitored natural attenuation (MNA).
