Web Standard: Logos and Icons
Content Requirements
The Office of Public Affairs (OPA) discourages the creation of program icons because they dilute the EPA brand. If you must have one for an authorized EPA program, your Communications Director/Public Affairs Director and OPA must approve all program icons in advance; they may not be used until those approvals are obtained. Please submit your icon project in PROTRAC for review. Please see the Program Icon Design guide for additional information.
About this Standard:
All EPA public web content must adhere to all federal requirements including; the EPA Web Standards, the U.S. Web Design System guidelines, federal plain language guidelines, and the 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act. Internal content, including Intranet and Microsoft 365, may differ from the public content. If not explicitly stated, content must adhere to all federal requirements.
