Public Notice: EPA Seeks Comment on the Preliminary Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Ravenswood Sewage Treatment Plant in Jackson County, WV

Summary

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) invites the public to comment on its preliminary Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the City of Ravenswood to construct a new wastewater treatment plant on the site of their former plant site.

  Summary: EPA has concluded that the environmental impacts of the proposed WWTP improvements in the City of Ravenswood, WV are expected to be minimal, and as such, an Environmental Impact Statement will not be prepared. EPA’s assessment concurs with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s findings that no adverse environmental impacts are anticipated from the implementation of this project.
