Benefits of Green Power Partnership
EPA’s Green Power Partnership encourages organizations and communities across the United States to voluntarily choose and use green power to reduce the effects of air pollution and emissions associated with conventional electricity use. By using green power, an organization or community can improve its environmental performance and reduce climate change-associated risks while also helping to improve the places where people live and work.
By partnering with EPA, your organization or community can take advantage of the following benefits:
- Credibility – Partnering with EPA provides credibility to your green power use. It signifies that your green power use meets nationally accepted standards in terms of size, content, and resource quality. Partners may self-identify as a Green Power Partner and use the Green Power Partner mark on their website.
- Expert advice – When you engage with EPA, we can help you understand common practice and how to avoid the pitfalls of using green power, which can save you time and money. We are also available to discuss the strategies and approaches that will best meet your organization’s or community’s goals.
- Tools and resources – As an EPA Partner, you can take advantage of the tools and resources available to Partner organizations and communities. EPA can also help you communicate the environmental benefits of your green power use. By becoming an EPA Partner, you join a growing number of organizations and communities who are leading the way towards a more sustainable energy future.
- Publicity and recognition – Partners are listed on EPA’s website. Some Partners are even recognized on one of EPA’s prestigious Top Partner Rankings Lists. Partners can also pursue additional recognition by applying for and winning an annual Green Power Leadership Award. By using green power and becoming an EPA Partner, you can help bring positive attention to your organization or community as a leader in green power use, encouraging others to follow your lead.
