Water Quality Standards - managed by Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA). The Illinois Pollution Control Board is responsible for adopting Illinois' environmental regulations and deciding contested environmental cases. Other state agencies, such as Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Natural History Survey, and Illinois Department of Public Health, at times work with IEPA on standards issues.
