Region 10 Tribal Environmental GAP Funding
This page contains information about how to apply for Indian Environmental General Assistance Program (GAP) funding in EPA Region 10 (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington).

Budget worksheets and work plans are due by Tuesday, January 21, 2025, for work beginning on or after October 1, 2025.
Funding Levels
Applicants may request funding up to $134,000 for this funding announcement, depending on program need and existing balances.
Tribes with large reservations may request a higher level of funding. For Umatilla, Spokane, and Quinault, funding may be up to $160,000. For Coeur d’Alene, Nez Perce, Shoshone Bannock, and Warm Springs, funding may be up to $170,000. For Colville and Yakama, funding may be up to $180,000.
EPA is not inviting new Supplemental Project requests for FY26. If your Tribe submitted a request for a Supplemental Project in FY25 that was not funded, please discuss that request with your EPA Tribal Coordinator.

Webinars
EPA Region 10 will host two webinars on the Notice of Funding Availability.
The first webinar, which will provide an overview, will be held on Zoom on November 12. This webinar will include a discussion of changes to the Uniform Grants Guidance and multi-year applications. 1.Review the Notice of Funding Availability. |

2. Submit budget(s) and work plan(s) to your Tribal Coordinator. |

3. Register with the System for Award Management (SAM). |
|
4. Register in Grants.gov. |
|
5. Obtain a user name and password for Login.gov. |
|
6. Submit consortia eligibility documentation once every four years. |
|
7. Enter the application package into Grants.gov (new grants) or email it to your Tribal Coordinator (supplemental grants). |

8. EPA issues FY25 GAP awards to Tribes and intertribal consortia. |
