Water Pollution Control Program (Clean Water Act Section 106) Tribal Grant Program

Provides financial assistance to tribes and intertribal consortia to establish and administer programs for the prevention, reduction, and elimination of water pollution. Learn more about the CWA Section 106 Tribal Grant Program.

Tribal Nonpoint Source (Clean Water Act Section 319) Grant Program

Provides funding to support the implementation of tribal nonpoint source programs to manage nonpoint source pollution. Learn more the Tribal CWA 319 Grant Program.

Wetland Program Development Grants

Provides funding to assist state, tribal, local government agencies, and interstate/intertribal entities in building programs to protect, manage, and restore wetlands and other aquatic resources. Learn more Wetland Program Development Grants.

Beach Monitoring and Notification Program Implementation (BEACH Act) Grants

Provides funding to eligible coastal and Great Lakes states, territories, and tribes to develop and implement beach monitoring and notification programs. Learn more BEACH Grants.

Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Grant Program

Administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Grant Program, the grant program supports projects that develop community stewardship of natural resources and address water quality issues. Learn more about Five Star and Urban Waters Grant Program.

Healthy Watersheds Consortium Grants

Through a multi-year cooperative agreement awarded in 2015, EPA is helping to support watershed protection via a healthy watersheds consortium. This consortium brings together like-minded partners from all levels of government, private organizations and industry to support individual watershed protection projects through grants, using leveraged funding from government and non-government sources together. Wastewater Infrastructure

Clean Water Indian Set-Aside (CWISA) Program

Provides funds for wastewater infrastructure to Indian tribes and Alaska Native Villages. The CWISA Program is administered in cooperation with the Indian Health Service (IHS). To be considered for CWISA funding, tribes must identify their wastewater needs through the IHS Sanitation Deficiency System. Learn more about the CWISA Program.

Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) Program

Provides long-term, low-cost supplemental loans for regionally and nationally significant water infrastructure projects. The WIFIA program was established by the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act of 2014. The minimum project size for small communities (with a population of 25,000 or less) is $5 million. Alaska Native Villages and Rural Communities Grant Program

Assists Alaska Native Villages and Alaska’s rural communities to construct new or improve existing drinking water and wastewater systems. Funds training and technical assistance to operate and maintain these systems. EPA provides grants to the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, which administers the funds through its Village Safe Water Program. U.S.-Mexico Border Water Infrastructure Grant Program
