What are the different data statuses in AQS?
- LOAD status - where the data has passed all business rules, is still not visible to public, is stored in production table but is not in POST status. This data is commonly referred to as "Pre-production data". LOAD status only applies to raw data. QA data automatically goes from stage to post and there is no option to hold the QA data in LOAD status. User can access data using the Maintain -> Sample Values -> Delete Pre-production form and by using the Execute Query icon with no criteria in the form. This will bring up a pre-production data that's been loaded but not posted for the user's screening group. If the user wishes to limit the query to just one site or one monitor, the user should perform the same query by adding a Site ID or Monitor criteria to the form prior to querying. Doing this will give them Pre-production data back on just the site or monitor they queried. The user can then delete all of the data if they want by clicking on the "Delete All Selected" button on the form (this will only delete whatever the user queried, explicitly the data that's been LOADED but not POSTED). If the data is in a staging table (STAGE status) because it has errors, it will not be included in your delete. To delete data in staging you must use the Correct -> Raw Data form or delete the data one at a time.
[Errors in LOAD: Sometimes load issues fail with a Post Fatal error message, some of the loaded data goes to POST status and some stays in LOAD. Sometimes the AQS staff has to intervene to resolve.] - POST status - where the data is considered production ready and has production status, is publicly available on AQS reports, Air data, or API and has been subjected to business rules with some exceptions (i.e. exceptional events, exclusions from NAAQS), and is used in calculating the Design Values for meeting air standards. The data can be accessed via Maintain forms and there is usually one form for each data type.
Important Note: In AQS a script runs once a month and deletes all non-processed data in STAGE and LOAD status more than 90 days old.
